I started out with what I assumed is a variety of 555 dekang that came with our kits. My wife still perfers the "cream" its called also came with her kit. Now its Black honey Tobac and Maple Tobac from Jugheads here in Canada.
My menthol of choice is Siberian Winter (triple shot) and spearmint mixed 50/50 from Maple Leaf <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>vapes, also in Canada. I have oodles of juices from different places but still manage to go back to the black honey all the time. One that caught me by surprise os a juice called Pink Poison from Stinky Canuck, I got it as a sample and it gave me a flashback of chewing cherry chicklets. I use that one to mix in to change some of my other tobacco flavors. Vaping is more than a hobby for me…its a way of life and I’m always on the prowl for tips and tricks to get the best possible <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>vape quality I can.
I got some .4 kanthal ribbon waiting for me to pick it up at my american shipping addy and going to give it a shot in one of my protank rebuilds to see if it can out perform the regular 32 kanthal.

Can you give us more on your American shipping address?

I know from both sides S&H charges are beyond belief!

Sent an email to Eric at DV this morning. Waiting to hear back. Told him if he wanted, instead of replacing the Protank 2, he could send me a new base to try out on this defective one. Will let you know what he says.

Good plan I got a response within hrs.

Okay, can you say serious customer service? I just received a reply from Eric at Discount <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>vapers. I’m posting his entire email here so you can see why I’m so impressed with this guy. If his suspicions are correct (and I’m assuming they are, since he deals with this stuff every day), the problem I am having might not be related to the Protank 2 at all. Yet, even if the fault is not with the product he sold me, he is still not trying to pass the buck. As I told him in my reply to this, he’s earned a customer for life.

Quick explanation: The Paul he refers to below is PBusardo, who tried the PT2 with several mods and had the same airflow problem with each. Also, my Vamo is not a clone (as far as i know). Not quibbling, though.

BTW, I just got an email confirming that my new base has been shipped! As good as his word. <img src="http://e-cigkissimmee.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/45407547d2_icon-e-biggrin.gif” alt=”:D” title=”Very Happy” />

Hi Richard

I can send you a new base, I’ll add an order to the system now for it. Hopefully it works.

The rest of what I am about to say is not in any way confrontational, just informative, I am honest to a fault and lack writing skills so forgive me if the tone seems off.

>>I realize if I returned this to you, you could probably return it to your supplier and get some kind of credit for it
That’s not how it really works, sending a single (or even up to 10) protanks to china would cost more than they are worth (or at least be a wash). Not a good deal. there is a fallacy among the vaping community that vendors get credit for every issue, it’s not the case.
Especially this issue in particular, because if I sent it to China and they tested it, it would work, it just doesn’t work properly screwed all the way into your Vamo. (the reason is below)
However, returns are a part of doing business and for the most part I take care of just about anything. <img src="http://e-cigkissimmee.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/45407547d2_icon-e-smile.gif” alt=”:)” title=”Smile” />

That said, if you get the new base and it does not work, you can send it all back for a refund, but not an exchange, I cannot go through multiple tanks to find one that plays nice with your vamo.
All due respect toward Paul, but this is more of a Vamo thread issue combined with the design of the protank than a just a protank issue and by that I mean it’s design doesn’t play nice with many "mods" due to the placement of the airhole and the depth of some Vamos (clones I’ve noticed for the most part as I have no issues with my Vamo and a ProTank) .
(note: I am not blaming you or your device, so please don’t take it that way)

I have received a lot of ProTanks back that work on everything I have here to test it on and that gets expensive. It’s not just protanks, it’s Davides, DBox Tank, Victory tanks, anything that seems to take a protank coil. Which is how I come to the conclusion that it is a combination of the device and the mod it’s being used on and not simply always the base.

The issue may actually be may your Vamo threading and design of the pin, a short happens when negative and positive touch, this indicates that when you screw the protank down something is allowing the positive and negative to touch, that is most likely not the ProTank but the action of putting both together. This might then happen on all protank II’s I send you, not a good situation to be in for either of us.
Some bases do have holes too far down (blocking airflow) but again, not a defect, a combination issue and a manufacturing decision, that ProTank would probably work flawlessly on a standard <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/Joye-510-Accessories_c_17.html”>ego battery. I have looked at several protanks and their bases and Kanger seems to change it on a whim, not sure if this is due to the holes and bases being handmade and not machined? Who knows.. China quality. But that coupled with whatever is shorting the Vamo is the problem

I just want you to know all the facts here, it might not simply be the base. It could be and a new base could fix it, but it’s not a guaranty.

But I’ll send a new base to you today.

Thanks
Eric

If only someone had juice that had that taste. Pick fresh pairs out of the back yard and man if they had a juice with that taste too lol <img src="http://e-cigkissimmee.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/06f146194a_icon-e-biggrin.gif” alt=”:D” title=”Very Happy” />

General Vaping Discussion • Re: Kanger ProTank leak

I found that protanks and T3’s loose some of their umph when below 1/3 full. They work on a vaccuum and more fluid in the tank the better the vaccuum and once you tip it a bit and break that vaccuum it doesn’t come back very well untill you refill it.
Another helpful hint is the 2 pizzy flavor wicks kanger uses are too small to plug up the gap at the bottom of the stem cap and the top of the wick. Replace those wicks with a longer piece of 1 or 2mm silica wick. If you don’t have any wick onhand then cut the wicking off a top coil atty and use that and it shouldn’t leak or gurgle. I’ve been using my t3’s and protanks for a quite a while now and have had none leak nor gurgle.

General Vaping Discussion • Re: Custom mod stands Jax Standz

I just placed an order with them guys and I gotta say they’re OK in my book. I asked about the possible trademark issue and he said they only purchase100% licensed stickers and simple give them away with each order. As far as I know that is completely legal…
Here was their last post I seen – For you <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>vapors without mods, we will custom build you a stand to fit your <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/Joye-510-Accessories_c_17.html”>ego‘s, Twists/Spinners Etc. Just have Evod’s and Ce4’s Style tanks? We will build to what you have! Visit http://www.jaxstandz.weebly and let us know, we will take care of you too.

Way to go guys. Oh and BTW got myself a Shield stand coming!!! …Nice. shhh Don’t tell my wife lol

I got a bunch of protank2 and mini’s tied up in a coop and they sure better work right or I’m not going to be a happy camper. I’ve had nothing but success with the T3’s and protanks, no leaks, gurgles and can go right down to the last couple drops of juice and its still vaping and would be a shame to have the PT2 not live up to the PT.

Well, i’ll let you know what my experiences are with it. I love the PT2 when it’s working. Perfect draw, lots of <a href="http://www.vapinkiss.com/eliquid_c_7.html”>vapor, and a nice solid feel.

edit: Thought I would add..Peaches are in season right now up here and I’ve just dug into my 3rd one sitting here typing this post. They taste even better when they come out of your back yard

Mmmmm. I can almost taste them. Have to try some peach e-liquid and see if it will bring that flavor back in full force. <img src="http://e-cigkissimmee.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/7bff6e0734_icon-e-smile.gif” alt=”:)” title=”Smile” />
